i’ve been deconstructing and repurposing jewellery and clothing for as long as I can remember. when the pandemic hit, i was shacked up with myself in a cabin in the woods, a healthy supply of beads and old jewellery. my daughter gifted me a bag of barrette blanks and because the night was born. as my bead stocks began to dwindle and i was working with the dregs, not only was it more challenging, but the pieces got more fabulous. that total transformation, that’s what inspires me.
